US Gamers Set For Online Freedom
This blog has always advocated freedom in all forms for all people, which is why we were delighted to hear the recent news regarding the forthcoming change in legislation by the US government with regard to their online gaming laws.
Since the release of Nega, we have realized that sustained campaigning online through blogs like this, and social network users, really can make a difference with regard to government policy and this applies even in countries such as the USA.
It seems that US players will soon be able to enjoy similar freedoms online that the rest of the world enjoy and will be able to participate in recreational games. This will open up a whole world of opportunity that residents of many other countries have enjoyed for many years, but which were prohibited for US citizens primarily due to outdated legislation that needed to be changed in order to enhance the democracy and freedom of choice that they should be entitled to. These new opportunities include playing online bingo for money which is a pastime enjoyed by many women across the world.
US citizens will also be able to participate in many other activities that were previously prohibited, for example they will now be able to legally play blackjack online for money. Logically, there was no reason for this to be banned when you consider that in places such as Atlantic City and Las Vegas, they were already able to participate in all these activities in real world situations.
The save Nega blog applauds the US government for making this decision. We acknowledge that this is a minor change that may have been implemented partly for taxation purposes, and also that it is insignificant when compared to other injustices that are in place throughout the world. However, and victory should be celebrated, no matter how seemingly insignificant it may be. This is one more victory for freedom.
